Michal Kubíček

• Project Manager

Michal Kubíček joined Euroenergy in 2008 and works as a consultant in the energy sector. His major focus is the preparation of technical and economical analyses with a specific interest in financial modeling of energy projects. Michal Kubíček also devotes himself to analysis of energy legislation and he focuses on the development of strategies related to the legislation regulating air pollution by large combustion plants.

Vít Kapoun

Vít Kapoun joined Euroenergy in 2011 and works as a senior consultant focused on electricity and gas sector. From 2008 till 2011 he worked in KPMG as an advisor where he worked mainly on the projects in electricity and gas sector (asset management, modeling and prediction, management and analysis of business data). In the years 2007 – 2008 Vít Kapoun worked as an analyst in the consulting division of ICZ, a.s. and on the same position in the years 2006 – 2007 in the Deloitte Prague’s office.

Albert J. Bell

Albert J. Bell primarily focuses on structured finance with overarching responsibility for the finance and legal aspects of transactions.  During his 15-year investment banking career, he has participated in mergers and acquisitions activities, equity and debt financing projects, and advisory work for global / European leading conglomerates, local Czech companies, and the Czech state in a board range of industries with particular emphasis in the energy, real-estate, steel, and telecommunications sectors.  Specialising in sophisticated financial and valuation modelling techniques, he has excellent access to senior representatives of the majority of regionally-active lending institutions.  Until 2004 Albert J. Bell headed the Euroenergy corporate finance team (previous to this he served as head of corporate finance at Euroenergy’s sister company Hex Capital).  Prior to joining Euroenergy / Hex Capital, he worked as a research associate in the department of plasma vapour deposition techniques at the Czech Academy of Sciences.  A British national, Albert J. Bell speaks Czech fluently and has a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Pure Physics from University College London.

Jiří Holec

Jiří Holec works for Euroenergy as an external consultant focusing on power plant and CHP plant technologies. During 1991 – 2006 he was a member of national WEC directorate (World Energy Council). He was a member of board of directors of several Czech energy companies. In the period of 1991 – 2004, he worked in Jihomoravská energetika, a.s. (South Moravian Energy, plc) as a project head of information system development and implementation, and later on as a director of electricity trade division. In 1990 – 1991 he was a director of nuclear energy section at the Federal Ministry of Economy. As a deputy of NPP Dukovany he took part at the foundation of non-governmental World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) in Moscow. Since 1979 he worked at NPP Dukovany as a deputy director for generation, since 1987 he was its general director. In the period of 1978 – 1979 he was head of the group maintaining Cuba power plants. After graduation at the technical university in 1965, he started his career at Poříčí power plant where he held several technical positions, the last one as head of operation at Poříčí II. Jiří Holec graduated at the Czech Technical University in Prague in the field of thermal energy facilities and finished the post-graduated study of NPP construction and operation.

Vojtěch Kotyza

Vojtěch Kotyza works for Euroenergy as an external consultant from 2011 and he is focusing on nuclear power plant and CHP plant technologies. During 1998 – 2003 he was staff member of International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. He works all his professional life in energy sector. During 1994-1998 he was Member of the Board of ČEZ (Czech Power Utility), Executive Director of the NPP Temelín Construction Division. During 1990-1994 he was Director of Nuclear Power Division in Škoda Praha (supplier of power plants). In 1990 he was Site Manager, Representative of the Czech participation in the construction of the NPP Nord at Greisfwald, Germany. During 1966-1989 he works in Škoda Plzeň/Praha in several technical and managerial position in Start-up Team of Nuclear Power Plants.

Vlastimil Kraus

Vlastimil Kraus joined Euroenergy in 2001 and was responsible for managing projects in the field of economic analyses, projections, strategic planning and IT. Since 2010 he works as our external consultant. Between 1999 and 2000 Mr. Kraus worked as a director for strategic planning in the Czech office of the Swedish company Vattenfall. From 1993 to 1999 he was a partner in Praha-Frankfurt Advisers, a Czech-German consulting company, focusing on economic, financial and organizational consulting. In 1992 he was vice-president of the Czech office of Financial Media International, a US company. Between 1990 and 1992 Vlastimil Kraus served as deputy minister of economy of the Czech Republic responsible for the area of fuels and energy, and the raw materials policy of the Czech Republic. In this period he also chaired the government Commission for the State Information System and the Council for Raw Materials Policy of the Czech Republic. From 1989 to 1990 Vlastimil Kraus headed a department of the Fuels and Energy Research Institute (VÚPEK). Between 1977 and 1989 he worked there as a researcher developing economic and econometric models, chiefly for the energy sector. In this period he published a number of scientific works, focusing on the theory and practice of optimizing.

Josef Křeček

Josef Křeček works for Euroenergy as an external consultant particularly in the field of power grid management, grid technical design, ancillary services and the technological parts of power and CHP plants. He was a member of the ČEZ board of directors in the period 1990 – 1993 and a deputy general director, responsible for the company development. Before this assignment, he held various top positions in the operation, investment and development of the Czech and the Czechoslovak energy system.

Zdeněk Labský

Zdeněk Labský is a member of the law office Arient-Labský. His major interest is commercial law. Since 1992 he has worked as an independent lawyer. Before 1992 Zdeněk Labský was lead lawyer in enterprises dealing in investment and engineering activities for the energy sector – Energoinvest, Energoprojekt, ČEZ, where he managed contracting administration specifically in the field of nuclear energy. He graduated at the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague.

Jiří Lobkowicz

Jiří Lobkowicz’s major professional focus includes corporate finance (M & A activities), asset management, business development and the private equity business. He was one of two Euroenergy managing partners from 1992 until 2004. Jiří Lobkowicz’s other business activities include tourism, viniculture, forestry and agriculture. After 1989 he served as an adviser to the then Minister of Economy, Minister for Privatization and Chairman of the National Property Fund. Prior to his return to the Czech Republic, Jiří Lobkowicz worked in the banking sector and was the general manager of Chase Manhattan Bank branch in Zurich until 1987, and country manager of France and Monaco from 1987 until 1990. Jiří Lobkowicz has a Lic. oec. Hsg. title from University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Jakub Musil

Jakub Musil joined Euroenergy in 2004 and worked as a senior consultant in the field of business strategy and economics and also focuses on the area of legislation and law in business. Today he is external consultant in Euroenergy. From 2000 to 2004 he was employed in Český Telecom as a specialist for company strategy. During his studies at the University of Economics he worked for several brokers as a portfolio advisor.

Stanislav Nestrašil

Stanislav Nestrašil works in Euroenergy as an external consultant since 2012. He is specialised in corporate finance with the main focus on M&A and financial management. From 1997 until 2011 he worked in Citibank on several senior positions mainly in the corporate banking area. His responsibilities were continuously in all industries and expanded to the whole country (CZ) and later on also to the Slovak Republic. From 2008 except corporate banking he was also responsible for M&A transactions and public sector. Previously Stanislav Nestrašil worked in the bank sector in Živnostenská banka as Senior Relationship Manager. He started his professional carrier in Mannesmann Rexroth in Brno after his graduation at the University of Economics.

Alexej Nováček

Alexej Nováček works as an external Euroenergy consultant since 2011. His working focus is heating sector, energy sector and operation of large energy sources. From 1999 until 2011 he worked as a General Director of Teplárny Brno (Brno heating plant). He also served as a Vice-Chairman of Teplárny Brno board. From 1992 until 2008 he worked in MST a.s. as a sales and afterwards as a Production Director. He was a Vice-Chairman of the Teplárny Karviná a.s board (Karviná heating plant). From 1984 until 1992 Alexej Nováček worked in Ostravsko – Karvinské elektrárny (Ostrava-Karviná Energy, plc) as a Head of Production, afterwards as a Deputy Director for operation and service and as a main engineer. From 1975 until 1984 he worked as an operator of 200 MW unit, then as a head of two blocks. He took part in Elektrárny Dětmarovice (Dětmarovice Energy, plc) commissioning and served as a shift engineer there. Alexej Nováček graduated at the Czech Technical University in Prague in the field of energy economics and operation. He finished the post-graduated study of industrial energy there. Later on he graduated at the management course organized by the University of St. Gallen. From 1995 until 1999 Alexej Nováček was a Vice-President of an International commission compiling the programme for Clean Coal Technology Conference in Pittsburgh. Alexej Nováček participated in founding the Czech Association for District Heating where he was a Chairman of the Executive Board from 1992 until 1997 and from 2005 until 2011.

Jan Pisko

Jan Pisko worked with Euroenergy from 1997 to 2007 as a consultant in energy and economics, since 2008 he serves as an external consultant. From 1992 to 1997 he was a project specialist at U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID), responsible for energy and environmental projects. Previously Jan Pisko served as a specialist for automated information and control systems at the Research Institute of Fuel and Energy. Jan Pisko started his career in Skloprojekt, an engineering company, as a planner-economist and worked on economic evaluation of investment projects.

Radoslav Schlögl

Using his empirical insight in the Czech energy sector Mr. Schlögl manages the Euroenergy projects on revaluation of tangible fixed assets of companies dealing in power generation and distribution. During his ČEZ career, he managed economic evaluation of bids for desulphurization plants proposed by foreign companies after 1990. Before that, Mr. Schlögl was principally responsible for the preparation and construction of the first industrial application of desulphurization technology at Tušimice II power plant. After 1985 he participated in projects to decrease the negative effects of coal-powered plants on the environment. Radoslav Schlögl has worked on the preparation and construction of classical energy plants and the district heating systems since 1962.

Jiří Šedivý

Jiří Šedivý founded a private consulting firm named Generals in 2003. He draws his experience from over 30 years in various top management positions in the army, after 1997 linked with NATO and EU structures. Between 1998 and 2002 Jiří Šedivý was Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic. In this function he was responsible for the defense system of the Czech Republic and for preparation and training of its armed forces. Jiří Šedivý also managed the accession of the Army of the Czech Republic into NATO structures and was responsible for tasks related to the reforms of the army in the framework of budget restrictions. He reached the highest education in the Military Academy in Brno and the U. S. Army War College (Pennsylvania, USA).

Jaromír Vojtaj

Jaromír Vojtaj works in Euroenergy as an external consultant particularly in the field of electricity generation from renewable sources. His primary focus is photovoltaic and solar systems, preparation of technical-economical studies, reviewing of proposed projects. Since 2007, he has been involved in the development of a measurement system for non-destructive testing of pressure vessel, pipes and valves/fittings. He has also participated in the commissioning and operation of technological parts. In 2005 – 2006 he was an external associate in the BMW research and innovative centre FIZ in Munich. Since 2000 he has provided consultancy in the field of system analysis, information systems, quality control, automation control systems, and database applications for end-users. Jaromír Vojtaj graduated at the University of Chemical Technology in the field of inorganic technology.
